Ahmedabad : More than 50,000 individuals simultaneously chanted "Surya Namaskar" at 108 locations on Monday, setting a Guinness World Record for Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the state, saying it "welcomed 2024 with a remarkable feat." Asanas, or various postures, are part of the ancient Yogic practice known as Surya Namaskar, which is a salute to the rising sun.
Gujarat's name has been added to the Guinness World Records for the first day of the C58 mission, according to a release from the State Government. The launch vehicle (PSLV) successfully launched the primary X-Ray Polarimeter satellite (XPoSat) into a 650 km Low Earth Orbit as planned, departing at the scheduled time of 9.10 amfrom Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, the first launch pad. In a post on X, Modi said, "A fantastic start to 2024 thanks toour scientists!"It's great news that this launch will solidify India's leadership in the space sector. "May our scientists at @isro and the entire space community reach new heights as they lead India to greater heights," he tweeted.
